Please email us at seymourtravels@europe.com to make a reservation

Day 1 Upon arrival in our London hotel we will have a ‘meet and greet’ and a tour briefing in the bar, followed by a dinner together in one of the superb restaurants found all over West London.

Day 2 - This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll utilise our ‘tube’ cards (issued by us) and make our way to Westminster. Here we will meet up with our specialist London guide, who will show us the iconic sights surrounding Parliament Square before taking us for a walking tour along the ‘South Bank’, whilst giving us the history and tales of London and of some its greatest sights, as we walk along the banks of the River Thames. We’ll finish the walk at St Pauls Cathedral where we’ll let you grab a quick lunch in the crypt of the cathedral before meeting up again with our guide, who will then give us a guided tour of the cathedral itself. After the tour (mid afternoon), you’ll be free to explore parts of London and Christmas markets, for yourselves with the support and direction of ourselves.

Day 3 - Completing our breakfast, we head over to the British Museum whereupon we’ll provide you with a guided tour of some of the most important archaeological collections in the world, after which you may like to enjoy lunch in the museum. This afternoon is all yours to enjoy and perhaps you’d like to visit the National Gallery or go to the Cabinet War Rooms. We’ll help you achieve your goals. However, this evening we’ll all meet up again so that we can embark upon a festive Christmas tree and market tour of London, taking in the sights the sounds and therefore the atmosphere of London at this special time of year. Obviously we’ll have the opportunity to indulge in a pint in one of our favourite pubs as we end the evening. You’ll be free for dinner this evening.

Day 4 - How does royalty enjoy Christmas?…… well lets go and find out!! After breakfast we’r going to take a train to Windsor. At Windsor we’re going to gain admission into the royal castle, whereupon you’ll be free to explore the castle and the famous St Georges Chapel. We’d like you to have time to enjoy this great ‘house’ and the charming town of Windsor that surrounds it and will spend all day here, returning at our leisure, early in the evening. You’ll be free for dinner this evening.

Day 5 - Did I mention royalty? This morning we are going for a little walk…. a very famous walk. Once again the tube will take us into the heart of London. We’ll gather in Trafalgar Square and start a walking tour with Lord Nelson looking down upon us from his lofty perch. We’re going to head down to Horseguards Parade Ground and have a little photo opportunity with some very famous soldiers….and their horses!. From here we will walk through royal gardens and past palaces as we head towards ‘Buck House’….. otherwise known as Buckingham Palace.. Later on this evening we’ll go for a splendid dinner together and grab the opportunity to chat and reminisce about our London adventures!

Day 6 - Today we head down into the heart of the ‘West Country’…Bath! Upon arrival we’ll give you a walking tour of this very grand town. With Roman history and Georgian history in abundance, you’ll love the atmosphere that this beautiful place evokes. We’ll end the walking tour by doing something very festive…. we’re going to find a place in the centre of Bath and carol sing!….song sheets will be provided.! This is a very very English tradition and I have no doubt that some people will throw a few coins in front of us. We’ll finish the evening by having a warm hearty meal together in one of the local restaurants.

Day 7 - You can have a lie in this morning….. the hotel is comfortable and the breakfast is great. If you wish you could escort your guides to the shops/stores for an hour or two Christmas shopping, as we’re going to buy some children’s toys with the loot (donations) given to us whilst we sang. The Christmas market, renowned for its size and atmosphere will be awaiting. Then we all meet up again so that we can enjoy a ‘Christmas Flavours’ food tour through this lovely town. With lots to taste and much to see, we know you’ll enjoy this! During the evening, we’ll invite you to join us on a little trip up to the children’s ward of a local hospital…… and play Santa Claus, as we distribute a few gifts to some local children…. all thanks to your call singing efforts.

We’ve built this entire experience into the tour for a number of reasons…. it’s a great British tradition to Carol sing and collect donations which will be given to others in some way. It’ll be an interesting experience for you to see how the National Healthcare Service in works. And of course, Christmas is a season of goodwill….AND a time to give. So we shall!

Day 8 - As a guide we get to take you to places that we would like to see and show off. This morning we’re going to drive to West Kennett Long Barrow…. an ancient tomb that clings to the Southern edge of The Cotswolds. Britains prehistory will be explained to you as we take a short walk through the countryside, past Silbury Hill, one of two conical ‘pyramids; found in England that are a thousand years older than Egypts pyramids. …and onto the great stone circle of Avebury. To get there we’ll walk through a great avenue of stones used by our ancestors thousands of years ago. Upon arrival we’ll explore the massive circle together and have lunch together. Heading out this afternoon, we’ll take you to a lovely site…….Nunney Castle. A beautiful medieval fortress with an interesting history. You’ll be free for dinner tonight.

Day 9 - When breakfast is over, a short drive will see us at Dyrham House and Gardens, where we’ll give you some freedom to explore. Returning to Bath in time for a cream tea in the famous Pump Rooms. You’ll then be free to visit bath and absorb some of its atmosphere, visit the world famous Fashion Museum or the Roman baths and Museum. You’re choice!…

Day 10 - We thought that today you should experience something a little bit different…. so we’re going to take you to the University town of Oxford. Upon arrival we’ll give you a walking tour of this prestigious town and you’ll get the opportunity to see what Christmas will be like for some of its students because we’ll gain access into one of the many ancient colleges found here. Arriving back in Bath this evening, you’ll be entertained…..Oh no I won’t!….Oh yes you will! I’m chuckling because lines like this will be used during a Christmas pantomime and we’re going to take you to see one. It really doesn’t get any more English than this!

Day 11 - England is know for its villages and today we’re going to take you to a jewel called Lacock. Its been a film set for hundreds of films and TV shows over the years, so lets go and see it for ourselves. After a short tour of the village, we’ll warm ourselves up with mince pies and some mulled wine in a medieval pub. This evening we’ll enjoy dinner together…Christmas dinner… with all the trimmings!

Day 12 - We’ll enjoy breakfast together and the guides will be available to help you with your travel arrangements, give advice and offer hugs. … and sadly the tour will be over.

This tour is for small groups (4-12), accompanied by 2 guides (for groups of more than 6), travelling in comfortable minibuses (1 or 2 depending on group size), which enable us to get into many places that big buses just can’t. They also provide us with opportunities to ‘dash’ down a country lane to explore something new and unique.… An adventure!

Cost of the tour is USD 5750.00 per person.
