Enjoy Your Gardens Tour - SE England 2026

10 Day guided tour July 3rd - July 12th

Day 1 Meet in our lovely hotel, set in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, for a tour briefing and dinner together

Day 2 Today we’ll take a step back in time and visit Chartwell House and Gardens. Home to Winston Churchill, we’ll absorb a little history as we explore the gardens. After lunch we’ll visit Stoneacre Yeomans House and Gardens. Free for dinner tonight.

Day 3 After breakfast we head out to Hever Gardens and Castle…… Picturesque and historic ?…YESS ! AND then we head to Sissinghurst Gardens…WOW. A jewel in the county of Kents crown.

Day 4 Another excursion to another beautiful garden and Castle, this time ( and close to our hotel) Scotney House. A picnic lunch will be provided today in the grounds of this lovely place. After lunch we’d like to take you to Standen House and Gardens. This property is administered by the National Trust and is an English Art and Crafts property…..fascinating !

Day 5 Another splendid garden can be found at Igtham Mote… a strange name but a magical place. Within the gardens you’ll have ample opportunity to explore the 14thC Manor House as well.

Day 6 Whilst in Kent we have to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens at Wakehurst….. wander, explore, absorb and relax.

Day 7 A slow start this morning will see us departing for the railway station and a trip to London. We’ll be staying in Central London for the remainder of the tour and accessing some of the nations most prestigious gardens. Checking into our hotel on the South Bank, we’ll provide an orientation and dinner together.

Day 8 We’ll take you across the city to our national gardens at Kew. A centre of study and research, Kew is home to some fabulous gardens. Free for dinner tonight. If time permits, we will carry on after lunch, to Hampton Court House and Gardens.

Day 9 Using the Tube, this morning, we head a short distance over to Richmond to enjoy the delights of Hampton Court Palace And Gardens. Beautiful 17thC formal gardens surround the house as it sits adjacent to the River Thames. There are several gardens here to enjoy, incl the Great Fountain Garden, the Privy Garden and the Kitchen Garden. The Sky Garden in central London also awaits. Dinner together tonight.

Day 10 After breakfast the tour will be complete. We’ll wish you a fond farewell as we give advice for onward travel.

It will be a 10 day tour that will include an injection of garden expertise but will not be a tour designed exclusively for botanists and horticulturalists……. it will be a tour for people who ENJOY a fantastic garden!

We will only explore gardens in the SE England, on this tour, and will use two locations and very comfortable hotels as our base. If you are interested in joining us, please submit a request by email to seymourtravels@europe.com

This tour is for small groups (4-12), accompanied by 1or 2 guides (for groups of more than 6), travelling in comfortable minibuses (1 or 2 depending on group size), which enable us to get into many places that big buses just can’t. They also provide us with opportunities to ‘dash’ down a country lane to explore something new and unique.… An adventure!

Included: All necessary transportation and admissions whilst you are with me. 9 nights hotel accommodation. All breakfasts, 3 lunches (additional picnics or pub lunches where we think it could enhance the trip) and 3 dinners. A tour deposit is required to reserve a place on this tour.
